Zirconium Rod
Zirconium rod and bar are rolled, swaged, or forged with further turning or grinding in order to obtain final precision size and metallic surface. Regular heating process for Zirconium rod is vacuum annealing, which can eliminate internal stress that is created by mechanical deformation.
HEXON supply the major industrial grades of zirconium, including Zr702 (R60702), Zr704 (R60704) and Zr705 (R60705). In the meantime, we can guarantee a much lower content of Hafnium (around or less than 2%) than ASTM B550/550M (4.5%). For high-end special demand, Hf content less than 1% or even lower is also available at us.
No matter for small piece or large size, quality always means the same thing to HEXON. For instance, we analyze the VAR ingot, take specimen from finished product for tension test, and inspect each rod by Ultrasonic to prevent potential internal defects. Starting process from ingot also makes our price very competitive in the market.
HEXON provide EN 10204/3.1 certification including related tests and inspections stipulated in ASTM. If necessary, RETI also can provide certification to report the grain-size which is examined by SEM.
