Tungsten

Tungsten is a dense metal. It has the highest melting point and lowest vapor pressure of all metals, and has the highest tensile strength at temperatures over 1650°C. Tungsten and its alloys are used in many high-temperature applications, such as arc-welding electrodes, and heating elements in high-temperature furnaces. Tungsten heavy alloy (W-Ni-Fe/Cu) is commonly used as weight balance and radiation shielding in aerospace and medical industry due to its high density but nontoxic properties.
