Niobium Tube and Pipe
HEXON supplies niobium seamless or welded tubes and pipes, in reference to ASTM B394 or customer’s specification, for usage in chemical equipment, nuclear, thin-film deposition, superconducting, and any other applications that ask for niobium’s unique chemical and physical properties.
Our niobium seamless tube technique is given as below (major process):
Niobium EBM ingot―Forging―Niobium bar billet―Piercing―Niobium tube blank―Annealing―Extruding or breakdown rolling―Annealing―Finished tube rolling―Straightening―Stress-relief Annealing―Cut to size―Tests (analysis, tension, NDT, hydraulic)
To prevent potential cracks and leaks, HEXON inspect both seamless and welded niobium finished tubes piece by piece. These inspections can be ultrasonic, eddy current, hydrostatic and penetration, wherein one or more.
