Ti-Pd (Gr7 and Gr11)

Titanium-palladium alloys with nominal palladium contents of about 0.15% Pd are used in applications requiring excellent corrosion resistance in chemical processing or storage applications where the environment is mildly reducing or fluctuates between oxidizing and reducing.

Ti-Pd   Grade 7

Grade 7 contains 0.12 to 0.25% palladium. This grade is similar to Grade 2. The small quantity of palladium added gives it enhanced crevice corrosion resistance at low temperatures and high pHMost corrosion-resistant titanium alloy offers outstanding resistance to general and localized crevice corrosion in a wide range of oxidizing and reducing acid environments including chlorides, with a good balance of moderate strength, reasonable ductility and excellent weld-ability. Physical and mechanical properties are equivalent to Grade 2.

Ti-Pd   Grade 11

This alloy has mechanical properties similar to commercially pure titanium grade 1, but with palladium added to enhance corrosion resistance in crevices and reducing acid chloride environments. As with grade 1, grade 11 has optimum ductility and cold formability. It has useful strength, high impact toughness and excellent weld-ability.
