Tantalum-tungsten Alloy
Comparing to pure tantalum, Tantalum-Tungsten alloys possess good mechanical properties of pure tantalum, excellent corrosion resistance, but higher strength and better performance at evaluated temperature.
These tantalum tungsten alloy maintaining a low temperature plasticity of pure tantalum, but also has high strength and oxidation resistance. After the 1960s, tantalum tungsten alloy had been used as a high temperature structural and corrosion-resistant material in aerospace and chemical industries for long time.
HEXON supply tantalum tungsten alloy which includes Ta-2.5%W, Ta-7.5W% and Ta-10W%, in milled forms such as Foils, Wires, Sheet sand Plates, Tubes and Pipes, Rods and custom tailored shapes such as Spring, Crucible, Fastener and any other CNC fabricated forms according to specific requirement.
Semi-finished products and fabricated parts at HEXON are forged / rolled / swaged / extruded / drawn / machined from electron beam melted ingots. We have the whole production process in-house and can control quality beginning from powders (Ta2O5). Double carbonization and sintering help us successful in monitoring and achieving targeted gas elements content such as C, N, O, H.
