Niobium-zirconium Alloy
Giving zirconium addition to niobium can improve the strength of the niobium alloy without affecting its ductility and workability. Zirconium can also improve the resistance performance to oxidation and corrosion.
Nb-Zr1% is the most widely used niobium alloy, which exhibits low-intensity, good processing and welding performance, and mainly applied for the aerospace, nuclear reactors, sodium lighting and other applications.
Nb-Zr10% is a latest developed niobium alloy. Relying on its unique properties, Nb-Zr10% alloy has been widely used in vacuum sputtering architectural glass, solar, photovoltaic coating. This alloy has a great potential market and economical benefits.
Beside Nb-Zr1% and Nb-Zr10%, HEXON is also able to supply other niobium zirconium alloy such as Nb-Zr3% according to specific demand from our customers.
