Molybdenum Tungsten (Mo-W)
HEXON produces molybdenum tungsten alloy by using powder metallurgy process with tungsten composition percentage from 20% to 50% (MoW20 to MoW50). Our MoW alloy has higher melting point, hardness and strength than pure molybdenum.
MoW alloy has enhanced corrosion resistance to molted zinc and therefore is primarily used for the manufacture of zinc as well as for stirring tools in the glass industry. The typical alloy is MoW25% and MoW30% for this application.
MoW alloy is also used as sputtering targets to create thin film for coating industries such as flat screens.
